In 2003, Penney Paving established its presence in the concrete industry in Central Newfoundland; within our first year we were the supplier to the largest concrete project on the island – the Abitibi-Consolidated effluent lagoon, which required over 10,000 cubic metres of concrete.
Our fleet of trucks includes tandem mixer trucks, tandem-tandem mixer trucks, conveyor trucks, and a stone slinger. When we supply concrete to customers for insulated concrete forms (e.g. Ice Block, Reward Wall) we ensure the very best concrete is used. We use a distinct mix with ½” stone rather than ¾” stone like some other concrete producers do, to create a more sturdy, longer-lasting product.
